This would a super-quick intro to what R statistical package is. It would talk about what is R, how to install it and how to make really simple analysis using it. The 6 slide presentation will be followed by a demo of factor analysis in R.

3D visualization with MayaVi2 and Mlab

Mayavi2 is a general purpose, cross-platform tool for 3-D scientific data visualization. We present an overview about MayaVi2 and its features followed by few demonstrations of really amazing scientific visualization. The next section discusses about Mlab which is another powerful tool which comes with MayaVi2 and provides a very simple interface to script Mayavi.
