I would`nt exactly call this article a tutorial; its more like a 'cheat sheet' to get things done the easy way.. ;-) . Hope it helps !!! :-)

Google-earth is`nt a package you`d get from the default ubuntu repository…. So you`d have to use the medibuntu repository…. in order to add the medibuntu repository, type out the following in your terminal.

Getting Started with Scala

It has been stated that Scala is 'Java as it should have been', but there are also numerous complaints about the language and its features (like not being side effect free, overly complex, too much of everything, too much abstraction, having a weird syntax, etc).
